ALONG FLOWING WATERS

ALONG FLOWING WATERS is a piece for the classical guitar that can be found on my album THE PATH. In reviews often is stated that it has some resemblance with the guitarpieces of Anthony Phillips, a founding member of Genesis. I am very proud that I had the opportunity to play it for him in his homestudio, on hís guitar. And he liked it! I hope he was not just being polite, haha.

RONDINO

RONDINO is a piece for the classical guitar that can be found on my album SHADES. It's a song I perform regularly on memorial services. The main theme is in D major (as life begins in an optimistic mood...), the middle parts are in D minor (let's say the struggles in life) and the end is again in D major.

ON THE COUCH

ON THE COUCH is a little piece for the classical guitar that can be found on my album THE COUCH. The album is inspired by all the things you can do on a couch (well.. I try to be decent). Strumming your guitar is one of them. The piece is not very difficult although it has a nasty right hand arpeggio in the second part.

THE SALMON SUITE (part 2)

During the presentation of the first book of my sciencefiction trilogy KRONIEK van ODERAN I played guitar in a bookshop in Maassluis to attract customers. It was hectic: signing books, being friendly to interested buyers and playing guitar. My daughter walked around the mall with flyers and a nice smile. Here is part 2 of THE SALMON SUITE. The total suite can be foud on my album SHADES and in the 'in the attic'-series.
